Poems of Healing

I Cried Too Long

By Evangelist Stephanie Webster

I cried too long ovah that man

Now I stand on my own in the land

Creating a masterpiece of

Who I am created to be

Not looking back for something

Called you and me

I believe in myself and thatz a first

To walk alone iz what I thirst

Trick - A - Treat

By Evangelist Stephanie Webster

Trick - a - treat said Mr. Peet

As he come into your room all discreet

Kneeling down at your feet

With his hand up under your sheet

You are afraid and scared at the same time

How do I get away from this maniac’s crime

If you wanna live then you better give

If you even try to cry then you gonna die

This ain't nothing new

You've done it before

Everybody in the neighborhood

Saids you're a whore

Help me somebody so you say

Help me somebody so you pray

No one can hear you

So I'll take it anyway

You tried to fight and you tried to think

But the smell of his breath and body stink

You felt dirty and wanted to die

He whispered in your ear

I love you sweetie pie

Don't you tell no one

Because you know what I would do

I'll just tell them, I didn't rape you

Who’s gonna believe you

You know you wanted me too

Now you walk around incomplete

Because of this rape committed by Mr. Peet

And now they call you trick - a - treat

ATTENTION LADIES:

If anybody has been or still is going through the shame of this abuse, I've been there and by the grace of God I made it out and I am healing remarkably. I extend my hand, heart, and ear unto you if should ever need me.... I am here for and with you because you are not alone!

Ain't No Sunshine In My Home

By Evangelist Stephanie Webster

Ain't no sunshine in my home

No matter what I say

I'm alwayz wrong

Why is it that I have

To change my tone

It'z like being the git wit

Nit wit and pass you a bone

Time will tell what is really wrong

And guess what, I'm tired of hearing

That same old song

Iz there someway we can get along

Admit our faults one to another

And create a new song

In my heart iz where you belong

I love you and adore you

And for that I am not wrong

Let us sing a happy song

Let us show that we can get along

Let us not blame each other

For our wrongz

And let there be sunshine in

Our tone that will illuminate

In our home

Blessedness

By Evangelist Stephanie Webster

Blessedness comes from above

Sometimes all I need is a hug

And not drugs

Oftentimes when I'm all alone

I often think about who I can call

On the phone

People are so busy these dayz

It's just a fleeting thought

That alwayz fades

Come let us reason together you say

Oh how hard it is to do that, with

Someone who don't pray

I cast all my cares and burdens on to You

But what proof do I have

That You care for me too

Life is sometimes hard

While You're up there

But I'm gonna keep pressing

Because of Your word You share

Strength and honor You say

Are my clothing

But where was You

When mister had me posing

You say “trust in me with all your heart”

But what about these insane thoughts

I know You love me

Because I'm breathing this air

But there are just some dayz

I just don't care

I know thatz not fair to You

So how do I get over myself

So I can love on You

Thank you for being my father

Because the one You gave me

I didn't get to know

He died before I got to know him

Which meant he had to go

Now I look for him

In every man that I meet

Only to be in relationships

And to get beat

If I would of been taught

To look for a man as cool as You

Maybe then I would of been able

To follow You, and do what

You tell me to do

I say this from a place of being real

Lord, it'z because of you I no longer have to play

"Lets make a deal"

Blessedness comes from above

Sometimes all I need is a hug and not drugs

Poems For Women Beyond Our Limitations:

Author Unknown

Lord, we need to move beyond

This place that we are in,

To touch Your very heart, O God,

To have Your love within

We need to move beyond the limits

We've placed upon our lives,

To move into more of You,

Revealed through Jesus Christ

Help us to keep pressing on

As, by faith, we take more steps,

To really conquer our inner selves,

To know You with depth

Help us, Lord, to overcome,

To be focused more on You

No matter how hard it getz for us,

We need to press on through

Though Satan rises with hell's fury

With vengeance to devour,

We pray, O God, You'll arise in us

And fight with holy power

For greater are You within us

Than the enemy of our souls,

For You have power and might, O God

And Your spirit is in control

We know the victory shall be ours,

Though for now the heat is on

Help us, Lord, to not give up,

For by this, You make us strong

You will sustain us in Your love

Through what we're going through

And deliver us the other side

Victorious in You!
